Southwest Home Access ("we," "us," "our") operates southwesthomeaccess.com, a free service that matches homeowners in Southern Utah and Mesquite, NV with local, independent contractors for aging-in-place home modifications. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • From homeowners: name, phone number, email address, street address (optional), city, the type of modification you're requesting, your timeline, and any notes you choose to share when you submit a request.
  • From contractors: business name, contact information, service areas, Utah contractor license number, and the license and insurance documents you upload as part of applying to join our platform.
  • Automatically: basic analytics about how the site is used (via Google Analytics), so we can understand what's working and fix what isn't.

How we use your information

  • To match homeowner requests with a verified local contractor.
  • To let you check the status of a request you submitted (the "Check My Request" feature).
  • To review and verify contractor license and insurance documents before approving an account.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the site.

How we share your information

We never sell your personal information to third parties, marketers, or data brokers. A homeowner's contact and project details are shared only with the specific contractor who claims that request — not with every contractor on the platform, and not with anyone until a match happens.

We use third-party service providers to run the site, including Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Netlify (hosting), and Google Analytics (usage analytics). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Data retention

We retain homeowner request and contractor account information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing help@southwesthomeaccess.com. Contractors can update their profile information after signing in.

Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the information you share with us. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sharing sensitive information you wouldn't want disclosed in the event of a breach.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
